Glory Train

In the summer of 2014, Jolene and I took a vacation in Virginia Beach. We had just finished the “Glory Procession,” a prayer and revival journey through the original 13 colonies of America. Our primary assignment was to connect with leaders spanning the geographic east gate of America, and pray together for His glory to be restored to our land.

 

What is the glory of God? How can we see His glory restored? In essence, God’s glory is His manifest presence, the substance of His nature and character in tangible form. His Holy Spirit.

 

And when His Spirit comes upon a region in any great magnitude, everything changes! Multitudes are swept into the Kingdom of God, overwhelmed by both a profound awareness of His love and a penetrating conviction of their need for Him. Healings break out, often spontaneously. Social justice becomes dramatically advanced, and revolutionary inventions are birthed to secure a better future. 

 

People have termed these occurrences revivals, outpourings, even Pentecost. To describe the overarching moves of God, I prefer the term “awakenings.” Two historic awakenings both birthed our nation and secured our future in innovation and freedom. And according to leaders such as Dutch Sheets, James Goll and others, we have now entered a new phase of a Third Great Awakening. Where the glory of God goes public.  

 

I concur—wholeheartedly. 

 

Vision—Tracks Laid from Coast to Coast
So back to Virginia Beach. It was late in the summer of 2014. We chose to spend a week here and explore the grounds where our nation was covenanted to Jesus Christ. In 1607, Robert Hunt planted a large, rough-hewn cross in the ground and declared in covenant language, “From these very shores the Gospel shall go forth to not only this New World, but the entire world.”

 

Exhausted from our sojourn, we followed their pioneering example only marginally. We planted our beach chairs near the ocean’s edge to absorb the sun and surf. Jolene turned brown, and I fell asleep. 

 

A fighter jet roared overhead, waking me. Two more jets shot out to sea behind it. Those familiar with Virginia Beach know the nearby air force base keeps very busy, so this was not unusual.

 

But in my newly-awakened state I saw a vision. Tracks formed before me from Virginia Beach all the way to San Diego CA. A strong locomotive blew columns of steam as it followed the tracks from coast to coast. The phrase came, “Glory Train.” I immediately knew it was our next major project from the Lord. 

 

After the pattern of Ezekiel 43, God’s glory had been beckoned through the geographic east gate of our nation. And now from coast to coast, I saw how the Lord desired to fill the entire house!

 

As it is with our nation, so it is with you and me. Maybe you’re at a point in your life where you feel your glory has been compromised, your potential has been lost. You might even feel you’re beyond recovery. 

 

Beloved, you’re not at the end of your journey! Instead, the Lord is saying directly to you, this is your year to get back on track. If you will partner with Him, He will bring recovery to your life and world. And your stopping point will become a new birth of freedom. 

 

The price for your freedom has actually already been paid—by Jesus Christ Himself—and new tracks have already been laid. You are now the deciding factor in securing a better future. 

 

Only believe! Get on the Glory Train. And lets together set a new course from peril to promise.

 

Glory Train—The Prophets Speak
After Virginia Beach, one of my biggest surprises was the discovery that the “Glory Train” was not a new idea. In fact, many  respected prophets had already received similar words and experiences, with the Lord conveying His new move through the imagery of trains. 

 

Dutch Sheets shared a prophecy about a bullet train. This bullet train was lunging at maximum speed in exactly the wrong direction. But in the blackness of the journey it suddenly made a 180 degree turn—and shot like a bolt of lightning in exactly the opposite direction! 

 

Turnaround train. Exactly what this nation needs.

 

Chuck Pierce received a dramatic vision as well. In fact it was one of Chuck’s first prophetic experiences as a very young man. A red train raced across the United States, with the name “Awakening Train” on its engine. 

 

Awakening train—exactly what we are all pursuing today! And most of you know the accuracy of Chuck’s gifting from the Lord. His words are simply prone to materialize in their time.

 

But the most staggering discovery was a sweeping prophetic experience by Bob Jones, a pioneer of the prophetic movement. Bob was caught up in the Spirit and found himself on a train. 

 

How these prophets do this I’d really like to know. Anyway, the Conductor came by to take his ticket. Bob asked the Conductor, “What is this train?” To which the Conductor replied, “It’s the Glory Train.” 

 

The Glory Train. The same verbiage the Lord used in my prophetic experience. This confirmation stopped me in my tracks. Really, how do they do that? How does God do that? And in this inter- dimensional reality navigated by the prophets, was Bob’s word confirmation to me or was I confirmation to him?

The prophet then asked the next obvious question. “Where are we heading?” To which the Conductor replied, “To any city that wants it!” 

 

The Glory Train. Coming to any city that wants it. I want it, how about you? In fact have personally laid claim to many cities for this Tour. Including Washington, District of Christ.

 

In his prophetic word, Bob went on to say that the Glory Train represents the restoration of God’s glory in our Nation. It’s a “now” word for a “now” movement from Heaven’s Throne. What’s in store? As this train grows in momentum, I believe our nation will once again be consumed by the fires of revival. We’re going to explore this more in a moment. But based on his visionary experience, Bob described it this way. 

 

“So we’re on that glory train and any time you hear a train whistle just say this in your thinking, “I’m on that train, I’m on God’s glory train! My future is in His glory train and that’s where I’ll abide with Him! And all of my time down here, that glory train will get bigger and bigger because when it stops in the city, that city will no longer belong to the enemy. It will belong to the Father.”

 

What an incredible promise. Watch how the Lord establishes His covenant from city to city in this hour, reclaiming them from the enemy! 

 

Bob continues, “Get ready for entire cities to be saved. And get ready for the glory to shine at night like streaks of flames; like fireworks to where you’ll visibly begin to see His glory. It’s a coming glory but I don’t believe we have to wait long for it to come. I believe it’s at the door waiting, and shortly it will come through.”

 

Friends, what is this door? Again, the Spirit of God is beckoning us through a very limited window for national turnaround. We together have been entrusted with the keys to to access this new reality. 

 

Now…lets roll!

 

The Lord is Coming! Spiritual Paul Reveres
In a very real way, the ministry Jolene and I lead together was founded on this dream. Back in 2000, I was summoned to the office of prophet Cindy Jacobs. It’s sometimes a little intimidating to be called into a prophet’s presence, especially Cindy’s.  Because even though she’s almost always smiling, you just have the sense she’s looking right through you! 

 

So Cindy sat me down and immediately gave me a stern, mother to son look. I returned her gaze with all the confidence my heart could muster. Don’t tell Cindy this, but inside I began repenting of everything I had ever done, and many things I had never done! Just quietly, to myself. 

 

That’s when Cindy began to prophesy. “Son, you are a spiritual Paul Revere. And I see you holding out a burning lamp. You will be going from city to city, and instead of saying the British are coming, the British are coming, you will be saying the Lord is coming! The Lord is coming!”

 

My hair stood on end. Cindy had seen right through me and yet I lived! Not only that, but she had just repeated to me, word for word, the very prophecy I had received two years earlier in Kansas City, MO. When a group of unknown prophets tackled me and called me forth as a spiritual Paul Revere.

 

What was amazing about the Kansas City encounter is that nobody knew me there. But my ministry was called Lamplighter, and I had just led a solemn assembly the day beforehand in Boston’s historic Faneuil Hall. This sacred hall is affectionately known as the “womb of the American Revolution” because of all the fiery speeches that took place there when Boston gathered to stand against British oppression. The likes of Sam Adams and John Adams, John Hancock and the Warren brothers, and of course Paul Revere all took their stands for Revolution within this upper room

. 

And just half a mile away was Boston’s Old North Church. The lamps in the upper chamber of this proper New England sanctuary provided the signals that set Revere’s ride into motion. One if by land, two if by sea. 

 

History will tell you that Revere rode, and a nation was born. It is my conviction that as the forerunners of this hour begin to ride, our nation will be born again.

But here’s the point I want to make. When Cindy prophesied this calling in the imagery of Paul Revere, she added a word that the other prophets left out. She prophesied that “everywhere you go, revival will break forth.” 

 

Sixteen years later, we are launching the East Coast leg of the Glory Train from historic Faneuil Hall. With Cindy Jacobs joining! Because I believe it’s now time for this word to come to pass in a much greater expression than ever before. Not just with Jolene and me, but with a great company of “lamplighters” from coast to coast.

 

And we’ll be going from city to city. Together with you, we’ll be holding out the burning lamp. And instead of saying “the British are coming, the British are coming,” we’re going to be governmentally declaring, “The Lord is coming! The Lord is coming!”

 

Because the glory of the Lord is about to visit your city. According to Gods’ promise, it will never be the same!
